Trust

To have a relationship with anyone, I have been learning that Trust is a VERY key part in order for that relationship to grow and to last. If trust does not exist, the relationship can be destroyed by negative attitudes and actions. This lack of trust may have been caused by a previous abuse, disappointment, or any type of wound given to us when we dared to make ourselves vulnerable to someone in our lives.

It is no different to create a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. We must have Trust. We must deepen that trust. We must be willing to take steps into places where we have never gone before and where we don't see the steps ahead of us or the outcome of the situations. These decisions are the decisions affected by those attitudes we carry from our past. It may be a view we have of our earthly father, a judge, or of any authority figure in our life, etc. We can instead choose for these decisions to be the decisions we choose to change and transform our lives , our pain, our wounds and make us the person God wants us to be.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill
and destroy; I have come that
they may have life, and have
it to the full."
John 10:10 (NIV)

The choice is ours. We can chose to live by allowing the thief to steal and kill and destroy and live by the pain and wounds of the past or we can chose to allow God to transform our lives and give us life and give it to us eternally and fully.
